Custom Illustration - Birthday Card

A custom illustration for a personalised birthday card! This was done in collaboration with The Whale Story where we wanted to offer personalised birthday cards to followers of The Whale Story.

The customer got to choose a cake flavour the type and number of candles on the cake, favourite animals (both land and marine) to go along with the party, and a sketch of the birthday girl herself. It was a fun project, and I’m sure it brought lots of cheer to the birthday girl, especially when this was done at a time when Singapore was going into a lockdown during the COVID-19 crisis. It was hard to have a party, but who says the celebration got to stop?

The line art and colouring was done digitally, before it was printed on A6 linen paper.
