Custom Illustration for Baby Shower - Gerald

This custom illustration for Gerald’s baby shower e-invitation was really fun to do. I drew a jungle filled with animals in a purple palette and inserted the family pets (pet dog and guinea pig – can you spot them?).

For the poster that would be printed, I had to tweak the artwork digitally so that it fit into a portrait format, and painted some add-ons like the vines above to fill up the empty space. Also, what’s a baby shower without the baby? Added in the baby dressed in mint green to make him stand out in the sea of purple.

The artwork was hand painted in gouache before being digitised for sending and for print. Text was done digitally.
